Welcome!

Tecumseh Community School is a not-for-profit volunteer board-run organization, that offers affordable programs and events for the community, and fosters a sense of neighbourhood. 

We offer a wide variety of programs and workshops for children and adults, from September through June; our office and all programs are held at Tecumseh Public School in Old South. Any proceeds from the programs are channeled back into the community, either as gifts to the school, or to local charities. 

The Tecumseh Community School is one of the last of its kind in the city.  It greatly benefits the members of our neighborhood, and its existence is one of the many reasons Tecumseh School is so important to our entire community.  For our current and future neighbors, we are committed to the future of Tecumseh Community School.

Skating Party:  Friday, February 3, 2012

6:45- 7:50 Free skating at Farquharson Arena (helmets required for students, recommended for adults.

7:30- 9:00  Free hot chocolate, cookies and entertainment at Tecumseh School.

Children must be accompanied by an adult.  Donations welcome, and will be put back into running our evening programs for our neighbourhood.

WINTER SESSION

Well, it's certainly not like last year, but winter has finally arrived!     Visit Winter 2012 Programs for a listing of course offerings which will keep your mind and body active through the long winter. And don't forget the kids:  they can have fun, meet new friends, stay active, learn something, and since most of our clients live within walking distance, you don't even have to shovel the driveway to get the car out!

We have some great new programs and workshops to join the usual favourites!  Check out our new Boot Camp for Teens, Earth Magic Workshop for the younger set, and a three-part iPhone/iPod workshop series.  Also new this year:  Tecumseh Community Tuesday Night Talks, a free speakers series in which we welcome our neighbours to share their expertise with our community.

In-person registration for the Winter Session is Monday, January 9th from 7-8PM in the gym at Tecumseh Public School.  Please enter via the East Door off the parking lot.

NOTE:  Due to high demand for our ADULT programs, we must limit registration to ONE additional person per registrant.
